Lowe's Home Improvement...

The Lowe's Store in Ashe County is great.  It's well stocked and the employees give very good customer service.

Time-Saving Tip: Set up and account, order online, and have your items waiting for you on your visit.
It's also great if you've family and friends in the area and want to gift them Lowe's products.  My mother, is an avid gardener.  I simply place the order and she picks up her "surprise" at the service counter after giving them my tele number.  She knows I'm not taking liberties with the English language, judging from the first time she made a pickup; as 50 lbs. of pine bark mulch was a "surprise".  I'll do better on Mother's Day.

Opening an account is easy: Account Setup.

This is a Wonderful Place for a Sense of Heritage...

Ashe County was once a prime Summer vacation desination for Floridians wanting to get away from the hectic pace of life and heat. The secret of the Scenic Beauty got out; making The High Country a mecca for those who want a slower pace of life with beautiful surroundings.
Even new residents have that sense of "being", here. The Locals are, for the most part, gracious people with friendly dispositions. One can either have a good community life or live in satisfying solitude without an obligation to join in. Finding a happy medium is easy with many events happening during the year.
